VC of UoT vows for developing linkage with foreign universities, scholars
QUETTA: Different lecture programs and interactive sessions on various themes were held in University of Turbat (UoT) on alternate days arranged by UoT’s Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC).
In his motivational speech, the keynote speaker Senior Engagement Manager Wells Fargo & Company in the United States Dr. Mansoor Baloch shared his life experiences and views on Human Capacity Development and role of United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing countries, said a press release.
Other keynote speaker, Dr. Sikandar Bezinjo, an economist and motivational speaker from Karachi Schools of Business and Leadership, shared his views on “Role of Youth in Socio-economic Development of Pakistan”. The interactive sessions were attended by the faculty members and students at large number.
Encouraging the youth Dr. Mansoor Baloch said that the opportunities exist all around the world but the only thing needed that we should have the strong will power to move forward for exploring and capitalizing these opportunities.
During interactive session with students and faculty he also responded to questions raised by the participants on the importance of critical thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship in this information age.
Dr. Sikandar Bezinjo inspired the youth to become job creators rather than job seekers. He insisted on capacity building of UoT’s students in the field of Entrepreneurship, identifying and resolving social and economic issues for making self and nation’s future brighter.
During meeting with UoT’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir the guest speakers acknowledged the efforts of the UoT’s administration, faculty members and students for maintaining infrastructural and academic excellence in the institution and promoting conducive environment for the further growth of the university.
UoT’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that his administration was working on a comprehensive plan to develop linkages with foreign universities and research scholars for exchange of academic information and research materials. The VC thanked Dr. Mansoor Baloch and Dr. Sikandar Bezinjo for conducting interactive sessions with students and faculty, and their offer for extending collaboration in promoting quality research and education in the university. – APP
