Rs2.5m assistance cheques given to minorities in Chitral
PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Minorities’ Affairs Wazirzada Wednesday distributed assistance cheques worth Rs 2.5 million among minority communities of district Chitral.
Addressing a cheque distribution ceremony in Kalash Valley, he said that present government was giving priority to resolve the issues of minorities without any delay, adding that Pakistan is one of the states where minorities are enjoying full rights.
Wazirzada said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mehmood Khan have given representation of a member of Kalash community in provincial assembly and appointed one as Chairman DDAC and member of provincial cabinet as part of measures to bring minorities into mainstream. – APP
