KP govt extends public holidays to April 18
Three more deaths, 65 fresh COVID-19 cases

PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced to extend the public holidays from April 13 to April 18, 2020, a notification issued Friday by the Relief Rehabilitation & Settlement Department read.
According to the provincial department, the notification to extend the holidays comes in continuation to those prior ones on March 23 and April 3. However, the measures “shall NOT apply to essential services”, it added.
APP adds: As many as 65 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, after which the death toll in the province stands at 23 and infections at 620.
Health Minister Taimur Jhagra tweeted that 65 more cases have emerged in the province. The total confirmed cases were 620 while 128 patients have recovered from the disease so far and the death toll is at 23 at present. The three new deaths in KP have been reported from Lower Dir, Malakand and Mardan districts.
