PESHAWAR: The Paigham-e-Pakistan conference, a group of 13 religious political parties affiliated with religious groups of different sects, staged a rally in Peshawar demanding Pakistan and the international community to recognise the Taliban rule in Afghanistan.
The conference has called upon Pakistan to extend every possible diplomatic support to the Taliban government to restore lasting peace and avoid humanitarian crisis in the country. “The occupational forces are now conspiring to impose sanctions on Pakistan but the government should take bold steps instead of succumbing to the pressure,” said the statement issued after the rally.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Syed Yusuf Shah said in his address that the ideology of Maulana Samiul Haq has defeated the super power in Afghanistan. “We will continue the mission of late Samiul Haq for the stability of Pakistan,” he said. He added that the “darkness of oppression” in Afghanistan has come to an end and though there are economic difficulties but it is hoped that the Taliban will stablise the economy soon. Shah urged that bloodshed in Afghanistan must stop and all the factions should work for peace.
Fazlur Rehman Madani, Vice President, Central Jamiat Ahle Hadith Al-Alami, while speaking on the occasion, said the “victory of Afghanistan is the victory of Pakistan.” While the central Leader Pegham-e- Pakistan Council Hafiz Abdul Rauf said, “The Pegham-e-Pakistan Conference is sending a strong message to the enemies that after Afghanistan, we will also get success in Kashmir.”
Addressing the Paigham-e-Pakistan conference, Idrees Khalil, the leader of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Peshawar, said that every Pakistani knows that Pakistan is the “bastion of Islam” and the religious parties will not leave any stone un-turned for the glory of Islam. Pir Jamaluddin, President Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Noorani Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said, “Afghanistan is our brotherly country. We are happy over the Taliban victory. The situation will improve and journey of development of Afghanistan will begin soon.”
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Advocate Arif Yousuf said that the purpose of the conference is to inform the world that Pakistan is a peaceful nation. Yousaf also said that Pakistan is safe because of the security forces. He added, “thanks to the sacrifices of our security forces, we are victorious today. We are united for Pakistan.”
