The statement added that two Pakistani soldiers were killed in the clash, but the militants were prevented from crossing the border into Pakistan. The Pakistan Army military it condemns the incident and expects that Taliban -Afghanistan will take effective action to stop the militants from using Afghan soil against Pakistan. The ISPR called on the Taliban to ensure that such terror incident may not be repeated.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the ISPR’s statement. Over the past few years, officials in both Afghanistan and Pakistan have repeatedly claimed that militants have entered and attacked each other’s territory.
But Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told reporters in Islamabad after meeting with Taliban officials in Kabul last week that the atmosphere had now changed and that Afghanistan’s new rulers had assured full co-operation to eliminate terrorists.
