PESHAWAR: The much-awaited film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ was screened at the President House where several ministers and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has organized a special exhibition of the film which was release after the delay of almost two years because of Covid-19. The cast of ‘Khel Khel Mein’, director Nabil Qureshi and producer Fiza Ali Mirza also attended the screening at the President house.

The Information Minister tweeted that the entire team deserves the utmost congratulations that they handled the very difficult subject very well. He appealed to the people to watch the said film in Cinema houses.
The film’s director Nabil Qureshi also posted about the film screening at president house on his instagram account. He also shared photos of the cast with the President, Information Minister and Senator Faisal Javed Khan and said that various ministers and dignitaries attended the screening ceremony. He termed the screening of the film in the Presidency as an honor for him and the film industry.
“Kheel Khel Mein” was released in cinemas on November 19, last month. It is the first film Pakistani released almost two years as cinemas have been closed across the country since March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic. Produced by Fiza Ali Mirza, Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas are in the lead roles. The film also stars Javed Sheikh, Marina Khan, Ali Zafar, Shehryar Munawar, Manzar Sehbai and Samina Ahmed among others.
The film depicts the events of Pakistan’s breakup into Bangladesh and plight of Pakistanis trapped in Dhaka. In the film, some university students trying to bring to light some hidden facts regarding the ‘Fall of Dhaka’ through a theater drama, however, they face strong opposition. It is the first Pakistani film on the fall of Dhaka though in the past several films were made on the tension between Pakistan and India.
The story of the film is inspired by true events and its makers claim that it an efforts to bring to light facts after half a century of “rumors and misinformation”.
