PESHAWAR: A Pakistan Army helicopter has crashed at Siachen in Gilgit-Baltistan because bad weather as a result two army pilots embraced martyrdom.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), both the pilots – Major Irfan Bercha and Major Raja Zeeshan – were martyred in the crashed. The statement said that Army personnel and rescue helicopters have reached the crash site.
The Siachen Glacier, located in the Karakoram Range, has been the center of the military dispute between India and Pakistan since 1984.
So far, no further details of the crash were available.
