Health experts are of the view that consuming healthy foods can protect us from seasonal diseases as winter weakens the human immune system. Green leafy vegetables like spinach, celery leaves and green onions strengthen the immune system and fights diseases. Thus, it is necessary to drink more water to avoid dehydration.
Meat and eggs: Both of these are great sources of protein, but too much protein can lead to a buildup of fat in the throat, especially processed meats or high-fat meats, while fish and poultry are relatively good alternate. Deep fried foods are rich in trans-fats and increase the total amount of calories without providing nutritional benefits to the body. Such foods can also cause indigestion or gastrointestinal problems. Medical experts believe that eating more sweets in winter can weaken immune system, which makes us susceptible to various diseases.
