The Information Minister said that Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed had alleged that Jahangir Tareen used to pay Rs5 million a month to Imran Khan for his Bani Gala expenses. He said that Jahangir Tareen has also denied the allegations of Justice (retd) Wajihuddin.” The minister said that the person who was favored by Prime Minister Imran Khan is now leveling such serious allegations.
He said that the practice of leveling such allegation in the media should stop now and that Article 9 of the Constitution must be implemented.
Commenting on Fawad Chaudhry’s news conference, Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed said, “He is ready to face the defamation suit.” He has alleged that Jahangir Tareen has earned billions of rupees in during the sugar crisis, thus, he will deny such reports.
It is to be noted that the disgruntled leader of PTI Jahangir Tareen has rejected the claim of former leader of the party Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed and said that he has never paid the expenses of the house of Prime Minister Imran Khan in Bani Gala.
Earlier, Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed had said, “It is a wrong perception that Imran Khan is an honest man. He said that people like Jahangir Tareen used to pay Rs3 million per month to run Imran Khan’s house in Bani Gala, later this amount was increased to Rs5 million per month.
When Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry was asked about the statement of Justice (retd) Wajihuddin at a news conference last Tuesday, he said: “There are a lot of such clowns around. There is no need to pay them attention.”
