PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan Special Assistant Muhammad Shehzad Arbab handed over 1,800 metric tons of wheat to Afghan authorities at Torkham crossing point.
Talking to media on the occasion, Arbab said that it was the first consignment of 50,000 metric tons of wheat announced by the prime minister or the people of Afghanistan. The special assistant said Pakistan has announced a special package which includes food items including wheat, emergency medical supplies, winter supplies and other items.

Special Assistant Muhammad Shehzad Arbab said that Pakistan has always cooperated with the people of Afghanistan in difficult times and will continue to do so in future. He warned that if the international community and other regional countries do not provide financial assistance and other assistance to Afghanistan, Afghans will face another humanitarian catastrophe.
Arbab called on the global community to do its part to help the people of Afghanistan avoid a possible humanitarian crisis so that the plight of the Afghan people could be alleviated. Special Assistant Muhammad Shehzad Arbab said that visa policy for Afghan people, patients and students has been relaxed and more relief will be announced soon.
