PESHAWAR: Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin has said that the approval of another loan installment show that the International Monetary Fund agree and satisfied with Pakistan’s economic strategy.
In a video statement before his departure for China, Tarin said that the approval of the sixth tranche of loan to Pakistan by the IMF is welcoming step for the National economy. The minister said, “It will not only strengthen the economy but also currency,” Tarin claimed. “The approval of the installment means that the IMF agrees with Pakistan’s economic strategy.”

The notification said that a delegation, headed by prime minister is leaving for China. The minister said that visit is very important for politically and economically. “We are going to ask China to help and would urge them to relocate its heavy industries to Pakistan,” the finance minister said. He said that they will ask them to establish special economic zones under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The FM Tarim said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will also ask Chinese leadership to provide assistance in the Agriculture Transformation Plan. Tarin said, “Agriculture is an important component of our economy, it is through agriculture that our economy develops.”
Meanwhile, federal minister for information Fawad Chaudhry said that the purpose of the Prime Minister’s visit to China is to represent Pakistan in the Winter Olympics and to convey Pakistan’s goodwill at its opening ceremony. The Prime Minister will also hold meetings with various Chinese businessmen.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for four-day China visit today (Thursday), Chaudhry said that 21 different for discussion with Chines officials in Beijing. The minister informed that the construction of Special Economic Zones, relocation of large scale Chinese industries to Pakistan from China, trade and promotion of Pakistan’s Information Technology sector will also be part of discussion.
