PESHAWAR: Fast bowler, Mohammad Hasnain, bowling action was declared ‘illegal’ after which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stopped from bowling in all format of cricket.
Hasnain’s bowling action was tested on January 21 at the ICC Accredited Lab in Lahore, after which Cricket Australia’s experts declared the fast bowler’s bowling action ‘illegal’. Under the rules, Hasnain would not be able to play international cricket until he clears his bowling action from ICC.

In a statement, the PCB also confirmed the news and stopped him from bowling in the ongoing Pakistan super league. On the recommendation of the technical committee of HBL PSL 7, the PCB has decided that Mohammad Hasnain will no more be allowed to participate in PSL. According to the PCB, after reviewing the report and consulting experts, it has come to light that the issue of his bowling action can be solved.Therefore, a bowling consultant will be appointed so that his bowling action can be corrected.
Hasnain will appear for test against to clear his bowling action. The PCB furthered that Cricket Australia’s report states that while throwing deliveries of good length and full length bouncer and slow Bouncer, the elbow exceeds 15 degrees.
In yesterday’s match of Pakistan Super League, Mohammad Hasnain was in the Quetta gladiator’s final XI , but at the last minute, he was dropped for Sohail Tanveer. During the Big Bash League, on January 18, 2022, his bowling action was declared suspicious. He was representing Sydney Thunder in the league but during a match the empire has reported his action. He has secured world-wide popularity after hunting three players in the over. He also bowled at a speed of 96 MPH in the Big bash series. Hasnain has played 75 T20 International matches and has secured 92 wickets.
