On this occasion, Justice Rohul Amin asked why there is no staff in these basic health centers despite the government claims of health emergency in the province. Why does NAB not take action on such matters when it has the power to investigate such matters? The Deputy Prosecutor General NAB said that NAB takes action when a complaint is lodged.
During the hearing, the Additional Deputy Prosecutor General Muhammad Ali said that the accountability body has now started inquiry, has submitted preliminary report and will complete further investigation into the matter. He said that a joint Investigation Team has been formed for inquiry as the basic health centers are in disarray in the district.
The Deputy district health officer Bannu said that they have started the process for recruitment of class four employees for the health centers. He informed that only the people who have provided land for the center will be hired.
The court sought a detailed report from the NAB’s Investigation Team, asking the team to investigate how many BHOs were active, how many employees are recruited and how many are understaffed? The hearing was adjourned till March 26.
