PESHAWAR: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces have killed another “terrorist” in Spinwam area of North Waziristan District during an operation on Friday.
According to ISPR the operation was carried out on the information of terror suspects presence in the area. ISPR added that a suspect was killed in an exchange of fire during the operation and arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.

According to ISPR, the slain “terrorist” was involved in terror activities against security forces and claimed that the people of the area appreciated the security forces for successful operation to clear the area from the anti-state elements. The military media wing did not provide information about the slain terror suspect.
On 23 February, Security forces have recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition during an intelligence-based operation in Madi Khel district of North Waziristan. According to ISPR security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Madi Khel on a tip-off about the presence of arms and ammunition caches. The ISPR said that the recoveries include sub-machine guns, light machine guns, RPGs, hand grenades, rockets and hundreds of different caliber rounds.
On February 21, the Security forces have foiled a major terror plot, killed five terrorists and apprehended two Islamic States (IS) militants. The KP police said that during a search operation; 20 maund explosives were recovered from Hasan Khel village of Lakki Marwat district. The security forces further said that three terrorists have also been arrested.
A total of 157 detonators, Kalashnikov rifles, 1,100 meters of fuse used in blasts were also recovered. The police claimed that the terrorists were planning attacks on sensitive government installations, religious sites and security forces in the province.
On 22 February, atleast five persons were injured after unknown persons hurled hand grenade inside a seminary in the Eidak area of Mirali in North Waziristan. The police said that two masked militants hurled a hand grenade at a gathering inside the Nizamiya Madrassa in the Eidak area as a result five people were injured.
