PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked Prime Minister Prime Minister Imran Khan to resign within five days and demanded early elections.
Addressing the ongoing “long march” in Ahmadpur Sharqiya Tehsil of Bahawalpur, Bilawal said that the marchers will receive good news before reaching Sahiwal. He asked Imran Khan to dissolve the assembly and the people to elect their true representative through free and fair elections.
He said that if Imran Khan did not resign, they will table no-confidence motion in the assembly to overthrow the “selected” prime minister. Bilawal claimed they have enough number of lawmakers for successful no-trust motion.

Bilawal Bhutto further said, “We have come out on the roads to remove the incompetent, illegitimate government. The government allies should join the opposition political parties to restore a true democracy in the country.”
Earlier, leader of opposition in the National Assembly and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif said that a successful no-confidence motion will be a “real relief” for inflation-stricken people of Pakistan.
He said that the prime minister has announced a so called relief as immediately after his speech, the LPG was increased by 27 per kg and there is a plan 16.37% hike of natural gas across the country. He said that in its three years tenure, the present government has made a record increase in the prices of wheat, flour, sugar, petrol, electricity and other basic commodities.
Shahbaz said that country’s trade deficit has widen by 82% on an annual basis, circular debt increased by more than 114%, the import bill has increased by 55%, the trade deficit has been rising for eight consecutive months while circular debt of the energy sector has reached a historic level of Rs2.358 trillion in seven months.
Yesterday, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), has said that the opposition has enough numbers of lawmakers to oust PM Imran Khan through no-confidence motion, saying that next 48 hours are very important in this regard.
