PESHAWAR: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that Peshawar suicide attack is part of the organise conspiracy to disrupt peace in Pakistan.
He strongly condemned the attack and said that Chief Secretary and Inspector General of police has been directed to submit report on the attack. The minister said that no threat alert was issued regarding Peshawar blast however, he said foreign forces were behind the attack to destroy peace in Pakistan.

At least 30 people have been martyred – including two policemen – and 50 others injured in suicide bombing at a mosque during Friday prayer in Peshawar’s Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Police said rescue operations are underway after the blast and an investigation has been launched by cordoning off the site.
Senior Superintendent of Police Operation Haroon Rashid said that it was a suicide attack. Rashid said that Rescue operation is underway. He said that a police constable, deployed at the gate also martyred in the attack. He said that no threat alert was issued.
Capital City Police Office Muhammad Ijaz Khan said that according to initial details, two terrorists tried to enter the Jama Masjid of Kocha Risaldar in Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Khan said that after the attack on the police team, the terrorists entered the mosque and exploded him suicide vest. The Police said that evidence has been gathered from the scene.
An eyewitness said that the terrorist first opened fire on the police outside the mosque. “As soon as I heard gunfire and explosions, I ran towards the mosque because my children had also left home of this mosque,” he added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the Peshawar blast and demanded a report from the provincial government. PM Khan directed to provide immediate medical aid to the injured.
