PESHAWAR: The Punjab Assembly member and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Aleem Khan met more than 40 members of Provincial Assembly in past 3 days and will attend meeting with Jahangir Tareen group to adopt a joint political strategy amid the current political crisis, Samaa Tv has reported.
The report said that a joint strategy will be adopted by uniting all the disgruntled groups in the ruling party but their names will be kept secret till the political scenario is clear. The report said that among the 40 members, Aleem Khan met, were 10 Punjab ministers. Apart from this, the senior leadership of PML-N has also contacted Aleem Khan to seek his support for the no-trust move against the Prime Minister and chief minister Punjab.

Because of the current anti-government measures of the opposition political parties, apart from the disgruntled PTI members, the independent members’ importance has increased. The political parties have intensified contacts with members of provincial and national assemblies to muster support before the arrival of the no-trust move to the parliament.
The group of angry PTI leader led by Jahangir Tareen has convened an important consultative meeting in Lahore today to discuss the political situation and the group role in the no-confidence motion. The meeting will be held at Tareen’s residence. Sources said that former senior provincial minister Aleem Khan has decided to join the Jahangir Tareen group and will participated in the meeting.
The report said that several issues have been settled between Aleem Khan and Jahangir Tareen during telephonic discussion. The report said that after the return of Tareen in the next few days, the two leaders will decide the future course of action.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khurshid Shah has announced that opposition will submit the no-confidence motion on 8th or 9th March. The PPP leader said that besides PM, they will also file no-trust motions against National Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaiser, and Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar.
