PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics control department on Tuesday launched an online system for vehicles registration and payment of property tax.
Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has launched a centralized motor vehicle registration system which will enable citizens to register their vehicles online through “Zama KP” application. CM Khan said that e-procurement is being launched in all provincial government departments from next financial year. He added that apart from Patwar reforms, computerisation of land records are in progress.
The chief minister furthered that work is also underway to make all government department paperless, online payment of property tax and online registration of vehicles is a “major step” in this regard. He said that KP has become the province to issue universal number plates. The chief minister informed that in KP, the vehicle registration fee is fixed Rs1 only.
