PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Political Committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has agreed to convene the National Assembly session for debate and voting on no-trust motion against prime minister on 21 March.
The participants of the meeting, chaired by Imran Khan, were briefed on the National Assembly session and legal aspects of the no-confidence motion. Sources said that the PTI legal team briefed the meeting on conveying the Assembly session after which it was unanimously decided to convene the National Assembly session on 21st March.

According to sources, the participants suggested convening a meeting of PTI’s parliamentary party to ascertain the attendance of the members. Prime Minister has assigned the task to senior leadership of the party – Pervez Khattak and Shah Mehmood Qureshi – to remove the reservations of angry members of the party.
Sources said that it was decided that Sindh House would not be allowed to become a hub of “horse trading”. In this regard, the concerned agencies have been directed to review the legal aspects for taking legal action. According to sources, the participants of the meeting have empowered Prime Minister Imran Khan to take final decision.
Earlier this morning, a list of members with contacts with the opposition was shared with the prime minister. The list includes details of a dozen PTI members of National Assembly who have assured support to opposition on no-trust motion. Reports said that there were also several female lawmakers who have joined hands with the opposition against the PTI government.
