PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will not resign under any circumstances and will fight the opposition political parties till the last ball. The PM announced that he will give a “surprise” to the opposition a day ahead of voting on no-confidence motion.
Talking to reporters at the Prime Minister’s House, Imran Khan said that the word “neutral” was misinterpreted. He said that the army is being wrongly criticized. He said the country needs a strong army to keep the country united. The PM added that the army should not be criticised for politics.

He said that the politics of PML-N and PPP is “revolved around to hide their stolen wealth” therefore, he will not resign at the request of the “corrupt gang” as 60 to 65% “honorable” people are with him.” The Prime Minister said that after March 27, his support among the people will further increase. He made it clear that he will not compromise on corruption and would not allow “thieves” to escape.
Asked about shaking hands with the Leader of the Opposition, Imran Khan said that he could not shake hands with a person “steeped in corruption”. Criticizing the JUI-F chief, the Prime Minister said that Fazlur Rehman is the “twelfth player in politics”. Asked about former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Imran Khan said that he had met Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and had a 40-year-old relationship with him.
Yesterday, after meeting the leadership of Mutahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), the chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl and Pakistan Democratic Movement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman claimed that the government no more enjoys the support of its coalition parties.
The PDM chief reached Bahadurabad, the headquarters of MQM-P in Karachi, for meeting with the MQM-P leadership on Tuesday. He formally invited the MQM to join the opposition alliance to make the no-confidence motion against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government a success.
Similarly, the leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif also confirmed the claim. In a press conference in Islamabad, he said that “the coalition parties are united that Imran Khan Niazi has destroyed the national economy through flawed policies.”
