PESHAWAR: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that there is possibility of early election in Pakistan. Addressing a news conference, the minister said that emergency is part of the law therefore Prime Minister Imran Khan was advised on impose Governor’s rule and emergency in Sindh.
Shaikh Rashid added that those changing political loyalties should know that there is possibility of early election.

Talking about political rallies, Sheikh Rashid said that the opposition will start arriving into the capital city on March 25 or 26 and directions have issued to the Islamabad administration to keep in contact with the political parties’ leadership to ensure peace.
The minister informed that a total of 12,000 personnel have been deployed for security, including 2,000 Rangers, 1000 Frontier Corps and 9000 police jawans in the capital city. The minister said that if necessary, more FC and Rangers personnel could be deployed. He said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has not yet requested for holding political rally in the capital.
He also informed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will also hold the “biggest rally” in the history of Pakistan on March 27 at 4 pm at Parade Ground. The minister also announced strict legal action if anyone tried to malign Pakistan armed forces and judiciary on social media.
Sheikh Rashid said that the situation is going toward improvement and hoped that democracy would move forward and will further strengthen in Pakistan. The Federal Minister said that he is one of the informed persons in Pakistan and no one is going anywhere as rumours are being spread on TV channels that Usman Bazdar is going to resign soon. He said that PM Imran Khan stands with Imran Khan.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will not resign under any circumstances and will fight the opposition political parties till the last ball. The PM announced that he will give a “surprise” to the opposition a day ahead of voting on no-confidence motion. Talking to reporters at the Prime Minister’s House, Imran Khan said that the word “neutral” was misinterpreted.
