Days after successfully de-seating Imran Khan through a joint-opposition promulgated vote of no-confidence, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has called for fresh elections in the country.
Addressing his party workers in Islamabad, Fazl, who was at the forefront of the endeavour against deposed PM Imran khan, said that the new government would operate for a year at the most.
He said “The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam has its own identity and we are telling coalition partners that we still want elections immediately.”
“Even though he [Imran Khan] is gone and we sent him packing, it is still our responsibility to return to the people what belongs to them.”
