A powerful bomb blast in a mouque in Afghanistan’s Kunduz city has killed at leat 33 people, injuring 43 more.
As per the Taliban spokesperson, the blast ripped through the mosque during Friday prayers.
Contrary to the country’s new ruler’s claims, Afghanistan has witnesed a sharp spike in terror atacks mostly targeting civilians.
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid took to Twitter to confirm the death toll and said 43 people had also been wounded.
So far no terrorist faction has claimed responsibility of the attack.
Outlawed terror organisation Daesh was said to be behind previous such attacks.
“The perpetrators of these incidents are…evil elements and serious efforts are being made to arrest and punish them,” Zabihullah said.
