The whereabouts of Dua Zahra, a 14-year-old missing girl from Karachi have been found, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced on Monday.
He refused to make further comments regarding the development saying, the issue was “sensitive.”
According to the media reports, the teenage girl was traced through a marriage certificate.
Lahore police said they were making efforts for the recovery of the missing girl refuting earlier claims that they have the girl in their custody.
A section of the press on Monday quoting credible sources claimed that the missing girl was recovered from Lahore and was in police custody.
Later, Sindh CM and Lahore DIG (operations) refuted the claims.
Murad said “Police are searching for the girl using the address on the marriage certificate. The real facts will only surface once she is recovered. Lahore police are in constant contact with Karachi police.”
