ISLAMABAD: AJK, Islamabad, Bahawalpur and Lahore have advanced to the semifinals National Bank of Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2022 (Grade-1) after pulling off impressive wins in the league matches.
In the first semifinal, AJK will take on Islamabad, while in the second semifinal Bahawalpur will lock horns with Lahore on Sunday. Both the matches will be played at Bhutto Shaheed Cricket Ground G-7 Islamabad.
In the 9th League Match at Bhutto Shaheed Cricket Ground on Saturday, Bahawalpur outplayed Islamabad by 10 wickets. Batting first, Islamabad scored 187 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Anees Javed and Shahzeb Haider made 57 and 36 runs, respectively.
In reply, Bahawalpur reached the target with ease in just 16.4 overs without any loss. Moeen Aslam played superb innings of unbeaten 90 runs off 57 balls and Muhammad Rashid made an unbeaten 86 runs off 44 balls.
In the 10th League match between Abbottabad and Gujranwala at PAF Cricket Ground, E-9, Abbottabad won the toss and decided to bat first. They posted 212 runs on the board in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of two wickets. Naeem Ullah was the highest scorer with unbeaten 83 runs off 53 balls. Riasat Khan was the second highest with 66 runs off 53 balls. Israr Hassan took one wicket.
In reply, Gujranwala chased the target in 13.4 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Akram missed out today and got out after scoring 33 runs but Israr Hassan stood tall on the other end and guided his team home with 61 runs off 34 balls.
