Nine ministers of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet were still occupying official residences in Minister’s Enclave despite the fact that they were no longer entitled to possess them, sources revealed on Tuesday.
According to government sources, former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, ex-Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar, ex-Religious Affairs Minister Noorul Haq Qadri, ex-Defense Minister Pervez Khattak, former Minister for Defense Production Zubeda Jalal, former Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Fehmida Mirza and ex-Special Adviser to the PM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar were among the former PM’s cabinet members who have failed to vacate the official residences.
“An operation will be carried out if the former ministers do not vacate the official residences on their own,” sources privy to the matter claimed.
Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has vacated the Speaker’s House in the Minister’s Enclave but has failed to return two government vehicles and eight employees of the National Assembly Secretariat.
The National Assembly Secretariat has served a final notice on the ex-Speaker for the return of government vehicles and employees.
