Around 63,000 contract employees’ services regularized
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkwha government in its annual budget for the year 2022-23 on Monday announced a raise of 15 percent in salaries and pension of its employees.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister, Taimur Saleem Jhagra in his budget speech announced 15 percent ad-hoc relief and a same raise in pension of the provincial employees.
The raise was apart from the DRA allowance for the employees from grade-1 to grade 19. For police officials of grade 7 to grade 16, the Risk Allowance has been equalized to DRA Allowance.
Besides, the KP government also announced to raise the amount of ‘Shuhada Package’ of the martyrs.
KP budget: KP govt regularize services
of around 63,000 contract employees
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhunkhwa government on Monday announced to regularize services of around 63,000 contract employees in the province.
Finance Minister , Taimur Khan Jhagar while presenting provincial budget 2022-23 in the KP Assembly said that 675 ad-hoc doctors would be regularized from July 1.
He said that KP government had fulfilled its promise of regularizing services of 58,000 contract teachers as it believed in welfare of all segments of society.
He also announced to regularize jobs of 4,079 employees working in 128 projects of erstwhile FATA, merged districts.
KP budget: Rs144 billion allocated for E&S Education
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakthunkhwa government has allocated Rs. 144 billion for 105 projects of Elementary and Secondary Education (E&S) in the provincial budget 2022-23.
Finance Minister, Taimur Khan Jhagra while presenting the budget in KP Assembly said that Rs.17 billion were allocated for Elementary and Secondary Education under Annual Development Plan (ADP).
Giving details of mega schools projects , he said that amount of Rs. 3.4 billion has been earmarked out of total Rs. 36.6 billion for establishing 711 schools both for boys and girls ,adding that Rs.3.2 billion out of total Rs.35.5 billion allocated for reconstruction of 1,318 schools.
The minister said that Rs.2.1 specified in the budget for improving standard of 521 schools and Rs.2.6 billion for up-gradation of 914 schools.
He said that amount of Rs. 320 million allocated for giving basic facilities, provision of school bags and stationery. He also announced allocation of Rs.500 million for scholarship of students from class 1 to class 8 in merged districts.
The current budget include Rs. 2 billion for purchase of furniture, Rs.1 billion for second shift classes, Rs.2.4 billion for scholarship for students.
KP budget: Rs 106 bln allocated for HED
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Monday allocated Rs 106 billion for 86 projects in the Higher Education Department in the budget 2022-23.
Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra while presenting the budget in the KP Assembly said that amount of Rs 5.3 billion was allocated for universities in the annual development program (ADP).
He said that nine universities would be setup with a total cost of Rs 24 billion for which Rs 3.3 billion were allocated in the current financial year.
The minister said that Rs 8.4 billion would be spent on giving full university status to seven sub-campuses in Mardan, Hangu, Shangala, D. I Khan, Dir Lower, Dir Upper and Buner, adding that Rs 510 million were earmarked in the budget for the purpose.
Taimur said that Rs 1.2 billion were allocated for stability and financial assistance of five universities, adding that total cost was Rs. 9.6 billion.
Moreover, he said, Rs. 2.6 billion were allocated out of total Rs 42.5 billion for establishing 129 colleges under the annual development program.
KP Govt allocates Rs37bln for TMAs, development authorities
PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated Rs 37 billion for Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) and development authorities in the finance budget 2022-23.
Provincial Minister for Finance Taimur Salim Jhagra told the provincial assembly that Rs 24.6 billion has been allocated for Tehsil government development, Rs9.4 billion for Local Council Grant, 2 billion for TMAs and Rs 1 billion for development authorities.
Similarly, Rs 18 billion has been allocated for village and neighbourhood governments including 16.4 billion for as development budget for village and neighbourhood governments and Rs 2 billion for expanding janitorial services.
He said that Rs 6 billion has also been specified for Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) and Waster and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC).
