PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has strongly reacted to the federal government’s blockade of funds for the health card scheme for the tribal districts, saying that the imported government has started an unending series of injustices with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal districts.
In a statement issued here, the Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said that the tribal people have made tremendous sacrifices for the sake of Pakistan.
Such discriminatory measures are tantamount to hostility. Mahmood Khan has said that the gang of thieves also wants to steal the rights of the tribal people but the provincial government will not allow the looters to usurp the rights of the people of the tribal districts and will go to any length for the rights of the tribal people.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government under the leadership of Imran Khan has worked tirelessly in the last four years to complete the integration of tribal districts and put the war-torn area on the path of development. and is taking steps on priority basis to alleviate the deprivation of the people, but unfortunately on the other hand the imposed government wants to push back the people of the tribal districts. Funds for the health card scheme are also being cut off from June, which is a gross injustice to the people of the tribal districts.
Mahmood Khan termed the decision of the federal government to transfer the health card scheme from the province without providing funds as unjust and malicious and demanded that the federal government immediately provide funds for the health cards of the tribal districts so that from the new financial year, the people of the tribal districts can be provided the facility of Health Card Plus.
