ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah on Friday said that PTI Senator Saifullah Sarwar Khan Nyazee had been taken into protective custody in the foreign funding case.
Addressing a press conference, he said that Senator Saifullah Nyazee had not been appearing for investigation in foreign funding case and now he had been taken into protective custody so that he could be formally questioned.
He said legal procedure would be followed for the arrest of PTI Senator if required at a later stage.
He said that PTI member Hamid Zaman had been also taken into protective custody in this foreign funding case.
Minister for Interior said that Imran Khan was misleading the nation and his narrative of conspiracy had been exposed.
He said nation should understand the reality of Imran Khan and identify this `fitna’. Commenting on recent audio leak of Imran Khan, he said the leaked audio reveals that he was involved in horse-trading.
He said Imran Khan’s fake narrative of conspiracy had damaged our foreign relations adding he said Imran Khan was trying to get back in power by using every tactic.
Rana Sanaullah said, the government would take all possible measures to maintain law and order in Islamabad. He said a plan has been formulated to counter any march towards the Capital city. He said pressure groups will not be allowed to siege Islamabad otherwise a tradition would be set of using such pressure tactics.
He said that Imran Khan had polarized the people and was bent upon dividing the nation. The minister said that Imran Khan had ruined the norms of society and the nation should identify him and get rid of such a liar person.
The minister said that an irreparable loss had been made to the county during the tenure of PTI government and still this man was hungry for power. He said that Islamabad would be protected at every cost and no one would be allowed to siege it.
The minister said the country’s economy and political culture was destroyed during the Imran Khan led government, while Pakistan was also isolated at international level.
Rana Sanaullah said, no one would be allowed to have political point scoring, and those involved in harming the national interests would be exposed.
