ActinDera Ismail Khan: The appointment of Acting Vice Chancellor of Gomal University has been declared illegal by The Peshawar High Court.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had sent Vice Chancellor Iftikhar Ahmed on a forced leave for 90 days. The additional charge of Vice Chancellor of Gomal University was given to Masroor Elahi, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University.
The Peshawar High Court has suspended all the orders issued by Masroor Elahi Babar. After the decision taken by the court, the transfer of assets of Gomal University to the Agriculture University ceased. The assets included 4,000 students, buildings, animals and other agricultural assets.

The Vice Chancellor of Gomal University had written a letter a few weeks ago to the KP governor. In his letter, he stated that he was threatened and forced to leave his position.
The VC alleged that the former federal minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, had threatened him over a WhatsApp message, asking him to resign from his post.
Moreover, it is learnt that Ali Amin wanted to transfer the assets of Gomal University to Agriculture University.
The acting governor, Mushtaq Ghani, sent Iftikhar Ahmed, the VC of Gomal University, on a 90-day leave. The governor appointed Masroor Elahi Babar as acting Vice Chancellor of Gomal University.
Advocate Ahmad Ali Khan filed a petition against the illegal appointment of Prof. Masroor Elahi Babar as Acting Vice Chancellor of Gomal University.
