Snowfall in Pakistan heralds the chilly season after a long hot summer. The first snow of the season was recorded in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Babusar Top, and Northern areas of Pakistan in its complete vigor.
The enchanted valleys of Azad Jammu and Kashmir turned into an epitome of beauty as the first snow of the season fell onto the Neelum Valley and Gurez Valley. Gurez Valley is located in the higher reaches of the Himalayas, while Neelum Valley lies to the north and north-east of Muzaffarabad, running parallel to Kaghan Valley. Heavy snowfall was recorded in the wee hours yesterday, covering the sites entirely with snow.
The snow has likewise sheathed the mystical peaks of Ghazor and Diamer of Gilgit Baltistan in white fleece. Moreover, the temperature has been drastically pared in the Nanga Parbat mountains, and the northern areas of KP, including Babusar top, Naran, Kaghan, Kalam, and Bahrain, after the snowfall.
