Sawabi: Two suspects were arrested for stealing valuables from the mausoleum of the Nishan e Haider holder Capt. Sher Khan Shaheed. The stolen commodities were recovered by the police.
According to the details, the complainant, Noman Sher, nephew of Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed, filed a report at Kalokhan police station. In his report, the plaintiff stated that he was guarding the shrine on October 16th, the day that incident happened. Noman left the shrine at night and went home. Upon returning in the morning, the plaintiff found many of the valuables missing from the shrine.
After filing the report, SDPO Razar Ajab Khan and SHO Kalu Khan Abdul Wali were given the task of immediately tracing and arresting the accused by DPO Swabi, Muhammad Shoaib Khan. The police took prompt action and the two accused, Siyar, a resident of Garland, and Hamza, a resident of Swat, were traced and arrested.
The stolen items, including copies of Nishan e Haider, solar panels, batteries, UPS, a pedestal fan, and ten thousand rupees obtained from the sale of the bicycle were recovered. The accused are still in the custody of the police.
