It finally happened. Elon Musk officially owns Twitter. The ex-CEO, Agarwal, Chief financial officer Ned Segal, and the firm’s top legal and policy executive, Vijaya Gadde have left. Elon Musk, after taking over one of the social media’s biggest platforms, tweeted “The bird is free”.
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, claims that things are changing for users and advertisers. Twitter will now be free where one doesn’t have to face consequences for speaking something.
Musk, a “free speech absolutist”, criticized the management and moderation policies of Twitter. He announced that the advertisements would be according to the needs and interests of the users. He also plans to remove the ban on many user accounts, including Donald Trump.
