Islamabad police are already in action prior to the long march participants reaching Rawalpindi. Preparations to prevent the entry of the Long March participants under the PTI leadership have been concluded by the Islamabad police.
Islamabad police have taken initiatives to deal with protesters in unconventional ways. 567 tear gas guns and more than 50 thousand shells were provided by the security personnel to tackle the flood of people expected in Rawalpindi.
Moreover, 500 rubber bullet guns, 37300 cartridges, 17 paper guns, and 11000 paperballs were also handed over to the officials. Spray paint to the security teams has also been given to identify and arrest the protestors. 5000 Rangers personnel, including Sindh police, will perform security duties and deal with any emergency.
