A decision to block the federal capital, Islamabad, by placing containers at important entrances on Thursday evening has been taken. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by IG Akbar Nasir Khan.
Entrances from Faizabad, Coral Chowk, and No. 26 Chongi will be closed from Thursday evening and onwards. According to DIG operations, twenty thousand personnel, including the Police, FC, and Rangers, will be deployed at important entrances, including Faizabad.
Sohail Akhtar Chatta, DIG Inslamabad, instructed that Faizabad would be completely sealed from all the four sides with huge containers. However, the route from Rawal Dam Chowk to Tramri for those coming from Azad Kashmir will remain open.
According to DIG Operations, instructions have been issued to all SPs and SDPOs. Alternative traffic routes will be provided for the public, he added.
Chairman Tehreek e Insaf, Imran Khan, will be leading the long march rally from Rawalpindi on November 26th towards Islamabad. Hundreds of security personnel are deployed in the federal capital and the security has been tightened in order to avoid chaotic and uninvited situations.
