Hina Rabbani Khar touched down in Kabul for Political Consultation with the Afghan foreign minister on Tuesday.
A meeting between the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Pakistan, Hina Rabbani Khar and Afghan foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, was held in Kabul on Tuesday. Many issues between the two neighbouring countries came under discussion in the meeting.
Khar led a high-level delegation of Pakistani officials to meet the Afghan government officials during a day’s visit. The meeting was scheduled after Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan announed the end of a months-long ceasefire with Pakistan. The TTP leadership held a military operation against their people in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a reason for calling off the ceasefire.
Several bilateral issues, including cooperation in education, trade, investment, health, regional connectivity, and socio-economic projects were discussed in the meeting.
