A wave of panic and terror ran amongst the masses after the news about the entry of a suicide bomber into the city spread like wildfire across the city through the media and social media.
For the past several days, the traffic on the congested streets of Peshawar has reduced. The markets have been empty of buyers. Consequently, traders and businessmen have suffered financial losses on a considerable scale.
Rather than attempting to arrest the militants, the sources releasing the post advised people to protect themselves against the attack. The fear and terror, which were forgotten for years by the locals of Peshawar, are taking their place yet again. The constant dread of losing lives to the dirty war of politics and terrorism is terrifying.
Reduced traffic has been witnessed after years on the otherwise congested roads of Peshawar. Large commercial centers in the inner city and the main Sadar Bazar were also seen deserted. For many days, the markets in the city, where it is difficult for people to walk during normal times, have been empty of people.
