Rashid Khan, the all-rounder of the Afghan cricket team, has been appointed as the captain of the Afghanistan T20 cricket team.
Rashid Khan has been entrusted with the leadership of the team in place of former captain Mohammad Nabi. Under the leadership of Rashid Khan, the Afghan team will begin its first campaign against the Emirates in February.
Chairman of the Afghan Cricket Board Mirwais Ashraf stated that Rashid Khan is a prominent name in Afghan cricket, his past experience of playing T20 cricket around the world will surely bring good to the team.
Rashid Khan, who previously served as the captain of the team in 2019, stated that being a leader is a huge responsibility. “I have great players in my team and I will make sure to keep everyone united,” he said.
