A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. Although easy to get away with, lies leave traces behind them. Those traces and records have paved the way for the researchers, who now have laid the stone to answer a very substantial question: who lies the most, men or women?
Although there are certain circumstances where you are nurtured by different people, where you are defeated by your weaknesses and you may be pushed to your limitations by the consequences, some people lie out of habit. Before revealing the answer, you must keep in mind that we mean no gender-discriminating offense to anyone. Some people might be an exception, as not everyone is the same.
Getting back to the question, the researchers have found out that MEN lie more than women on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. According to statistics, 42% of men lie and an average of three false positives are reported daily, whereas 1,950 in a year.
However, women lagged in the race by only a few percent. According to the reports, 38 percent of women lie daily, approximately 728 times per year.
Furthermore, the research was not limited to men and women only. It also analyzed data from young people and the elderly, revealing that young people lie more than older people.
