Already famous for its mesmerizing scenery and clean atmosphere, New York announced the construction of the beautiful Winchester Square Library in the Bronx.
The climate is in dire need of conservation. Drastic steps need to be taken to safeguard the environment and put a pause on global warming. One of the best ways to do that is to reduce the consumption of energy to a greater extent.
Being eco-friendly, the Winchester Square library will be operating with solar panels. No electricity will be used on the premises of the library. Moreover, the surroundings of the library will be decorated with green plants that will be watered with rainwater.
The design of the library was approved by a company named Snohita. The company aims to prioritize the environment over beauty. The base of the library is filled with concrete. To reduce the use of artificial light, the shelter of the library will be made of glass so that sunlight can easily penetrate through it.
The inside area of the library is 12000 square feet. A garden with flowers will be built on the outside of the library. It will have ample seating space for people who prefer to read in the fresh air. The main aim of this project is to save electricity and allow the readers to read in an environmentally friendly space.
