According to US media reports, for the very first time in the history of the world, a ‘robot lawyer’ developed by a local technology company will defend a person involved in a traffic violation case in court next month.
Artificial Intelligence, which leverages computers and machines to mimic the problem-solving and decision-making capabilities of the human mind, has been used in the development of ‘Robot Lawyer’, which will be operated through a smartphone. It will listen to the court proceedings and tell its client through headphones what arguments he should present in his favor.
The owner of the tech company announced that if the robot loses the court case, the company will pay the damages and court costs.
