Pakistan’s women’s football team is off to make history. Starting this year, the team joined a four-team international tournament alongside Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, and Comoros in Saudi Arabia. The team eventually secured second place after a win and a draw.
In their last game, Maria Khan, the captain of Pakistan’s team, scored an absolutely stunning free-kick, securing their victory as runners-ups in the tournament.
The recent successes of Pakistan’s women’s football team proved that Pakistan has immense potential to play at an international level. The country, being fifth most populous in the world, adds to the possibility of greater opportunities and talent arising from Pakistan.
