An asteroid, about the size of a mini-bus, is expected to pass by the Earth in the coming hours. The space rock, known as 2023 BU, is estimated to lurk over South America just after midnight tonight.
The presence of 2023 BU depicts that there still are asteroids present around the earth in space that remain to be detected by scientists. Although it will miss the planet, it will come inside the arc occupied by the world’s telecommunications satellites.
Keeping the worst case scenario in view, the scientists believe that the asteroid will need a lot of struggle to cause significant damage, if any at all.
