An American company, Mighty fly, has announced the development of cargo-carrying drones and has made one that is fully autonomous and can travel 600 miles (960 km) while carrying a weight of 100 pounds.
The fully autonomous drone, Santo, operates through software and, most importantly, it requires very little space for take-off.
Santo is made of a carbon fiber frame with a total weight of 161 kg. It has 8 wings and uses its own propulsion pods for low runways. The drone can travel at a maximum speed of 240 km per hour, almost twice the speed of a ground vehicle. The chest is 5 meters in length and 4 meters in width, while a conveyor belt is installed inside it on which items can be placed and lifted. This belt works like an airport baggage belt.
