US President Joe Biden, in a meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan at the White House, insisted on maintaining the legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
According to the World News Agency, US President Joe Biden had an important meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Crown Prince Hussein Abdullah in Washington. King Abdullah II of Jordan briefed the US President on the latest situation in Al-Aqsa. During the meeting, the leaders also had a telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister of Iraq over the same issue.
President Joe Biden, while appreciating the services of the King of Jordan as the custodian of Al-Aqsa Mosque, reiterated the American position that a two-state solution is necessary to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
While thanking the US President for adopting a principled position, King Abdullah II of Jordan informed us about the entry of Jews into the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is reserved for Muslims to worship. The US President expressed concern over the matter, saying that the current status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque should be maintained.
It should be noted that since the establishment of the new government in Israel, the staunch Jewish ministers want to occupy the space reserved for Muslims in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and are bent on declaring it their place of worship.
The Israeli government wants to end the historic agreement and allow Jews to worship in the compound reserved for Muslims alone.
