ISIS reportedly killed three people and kidnapped 26 while searching for the world’s rarest and most expensive fruit “truffle” in the northern region of Syria.

According to the World News Agency, the decapitated bodies of three people have been found in the desert of Aleppo, Syria, while 26 hunters have been confirmed missing. The victims have not been identified yet.

The killers and abductors were searching for the world-famous and rare truffle (a type of mushroom and fungus) that grows underground in the area and is fetched by hand around the world at high prices.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has claimed that ISIS is possibly involved in the killing and abduction of these people. This area of Aleppo is the last stronghold of ISIS fighters in Syria.

The Syrian official media has not broadcast any news on this incident, but the British organization that monitors human rights in Syria has also confirmed that ISIS fighters targeted these people near the positions of pro-Iranian forces.

Remember that the season for the rare fruit truffle is between February and April, and hundreds of poor Syrians search for this fruit without fear of life in the vast desert, an area full of landmines. .

According to the Syrian Observatory, 139 people who came to the area in search of fruit have been killed in ISIS attacks since February, most of them in landmine explosions.
