Amir-e-Taliban Habtaullah Akhundzada has ordered the Taliban officials to immediately dismiss their sons and other relatives from government jobs and recruit civilians in their places.

According to the World News Agency, a decree issued by Taliban chief Habtaullah Akhundzada has instructed that Taliban officials refrain from employing their sons or other family members. The order states that the sons or other relatives of Taliban officials who are in government jobs should be removed immediately and new recruits should be made in their place.

The order issued by the Taliban chief comes after allegations that several senior Taliban officials have given government jobs to their sons and other relatives. It may be recalled that the Taliban took over the country in August 2021, after which many civil servants either went abroad or were fired, and Taliban officials recruited their sons to replace them.
