In the mountainous Bajaur tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), a group of college professors and their friends have found their escape from their busy lives in the realms of the beautiful peaks of their district.
Bajaur, a beautiful district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is located in the northern region of Pakistan. The district is surrounded by mountains and hills, making it an ideal location for mountaineering and hiking.
Some of the most popular mountains in Bajaur include: Kohimor, Kandao Sar Mountain, Laram Mountain, Shaltalo Mountain, Seafina Mountain, and Bajaur Sar Mountain.
Mountaineering in Bajaur offers an exciting experience for adventure seekers. However, it is important to take all necessary precautions and have proper equipment before embarking on a mountain climbing expedition. It is recommended that climbers book their trip through a reputable tour operator who can provide trained guides and professionals to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Professor Khalid Habib, a resident of Bajaur, along with other teachers of his college and friends, goes on a hiking trip to different mountainous areas of the district to soak in the beauty of nature in its pristine form in those isolated craggy mountains every week. The people of Bajaur utterly admire their mountain ranges and exploring them is their centuries-old tradition and favourite pastime.
“Bajaur is well known for its green fertile valleys and snow-capped mountains. A brief pause in terrorism in 2014 onwards provided the local youth with a golden opportunity to materialize their passion for mountaineering,” said Khalid Habib.
