Strengthening Airport Security Measures
In a groundbreaking move to fortify the nation’s airport security, an advanced facial recognition system has been approved for installation at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar. This high-tech system aims to thwart illegal international movement by identifying and tracking individuals involved in human trafficking or attempting to escape abroad with forged documents. The project marks the first phase of a nationwide initiative, with plans to implement similar state-of-the-art systems at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Multan airports.
Collaborative Efforts for Enhanced Safety
To ensure the success and effectiveness of this cutting-edge technology, the installation process is being undertaken in collaboration with Japan International and Operational System. The experts from these organizations will not only oversee the installation but also provide comprehensive training to the relevant staff of the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) and Civil Aviation Authority at Bacha Khan Airport.
The implementation of face recognition cameras at Bacha Khan International Airport signifies a significant leap forward in bolstering airport security measures. The sophisticated technology will serve as a potent deterrent, curbing illegal activities while enabling authorities to swiftly identify individuals involved in unlawful practices.
