Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, confidently assures the nation that Pakistan will not default on its financial obligations, emphasizing that those eagerly awaiting its downfall should be ashamed. In a press conference held in Islamabad, Minister Dar states that the country possesses substantial foreign reserves, dismissing any notions of an imminent default.
“We should unite to overcome challenges and lift Pakistan out of its troubles,” proclaims Minister Dar, attributing the burden on the common citizen to inflation and unfulfilled promises of the past. He affirms the commitment of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) to lead the country towards progress.
Minister Dar acknowledges that political instability adversely affects the economy, while highlighting the numerous challenges the nation faces. Urging patience, he assures that the government is committed to timely repayments and endeavors to ensure foreign payments are made promptly.
Reiterating his stance, Minister Dar asserts that those eagerly awaiting a default should feel ashamed, as Pakistan possesses significant foreign reserves. The nation, being independent and resilient, will not succumb to such a fate.
